Working enquiry:

 

How can a contemporary craft and design process of re-creation/reconstruction be used to reinterpret and gain new perspectives on historical objects?

 

Research areas currently being explored include:

 

  • Making the intangible tangible
  • Re-materialising the immaterial
  • Recalling the past through image and object
  • Representing the objects listed in 18th century inventories through contemporary re-created objects
  • Connecting sensibilities of past and present through contemporary trigger point objects
  • Articulating the past using contemporary design methods of representation
